Product Description

On all gates that have tongue and groove panels, as well as the pickets on the Liphook gate, are secured from the rear of the gate using countersunk wood screws. For those customers who prefer it we can cover the screw heads with Iroko hardwood plugs.

This is purely a visual preference.
